"Indeed, America--the world--will be much to the better the sooner Bush and Cheney are out of office. Any known shortcuts to impeachment would be more than welcome not only by most people in this country, certainly by most people in the world."

Right wing extremists have developed the tendency to count successful operations in the WOT, or anything that is American progress, as a mark of the Republican party's success. This is unfortunate because the reactionary left wing extremists now lay in the grass waiting for any set backs in the WOT, US Employment, our economy, healthcare, natural disaster etc. and have developed a tendency to celebrate those as some sort of points against Bush and for the Democratic party. The result is a polarized partisan consciousness for the whole country with some hoping for a government that appears to be ‘winning’ against its opponents (Including our Democrat government representatives and their supporters) and some hoping for a government that is losing its grip (Especially the Republicans who are currently achieving many of their goals in this administration).

These extremist attitudes are becoming more and more the norm and guarantee that we all lose in the long run. We could be doing better than this. Much, much better.

The social comparisons between the right wing extremists and the left wing extremists are all negative and destructive. This sets us on a course of universal self destructiveness. Why people are so proud of themselves for being a part of that popular consciousness is beyond me. I guess y'all think that makes you part of the 'in' thing.

The pettiness of some of these controversies alone should bring about feelings of shame and disgust among you; obviously it does not.
