They leap on a gazelle enthusiastically and start biting, but they are more circumspect about people. Violence is an excellent way of persuading mosquitoes, lions, hyenas and other predatorial megalomaniacs that they should amuse themselves somewhere else. Gengkis Khan wasn't on a shopping expedition. Turning the other cheek doesn't work with them. They load you into the trains to Auschwitz anyway.
