Note that many animals around the world are wary of humans. They leap on a gazelle enthusiastically and start biting, but they are more circumspect about people.

Violence is an excellent way of persuading mosquitoes, lions, hyenas and other predatorial megalomaniacs that they should amuse themselves somewhere else. Gengkis Khan wasn't on a shopping expedition.

Turning the other cheek doesn't work with them. They load you into the trains to Auschwitz anyway. Maybe if Anne Frank had shot Adolf she could have finished her diary.
