What would be the earliest this type of action would come into effect. Meaning what's the earliest they can cut Q out. I fully beleive that if a cap is what they want and they are cutting out CDMA from layer1, then I don't think they will be stupid enough to let HSDPA/HUSPA issues unaddressed so that Q could hold them hostage on those patents.

This is not a good thing.

This has always been the long-term risk to Qualcomm's IPR demands. OTOH, any implementations of LTE are likely to have HSDPA/HSUPA as one of the modes for a very long time.

I wonder how strong Q's IPR position is in both of those.

then you all do not realize the value of the flarion acquisition. they bought out the rights to alot of the OFDMA patents. Which part of the radio thing do you think they do not have covered?
