I had a feeling that's what you were referring to. Yet, based on the facts in circulation and on the conflicting legal interpretations, it's too early to tell whether a law was broken.

Regardless, the constitutional guarantee against unreasonable searches and seizures really hasn't been taken from us. However, the administration has certainly opened itself up to increased scrutiny by not using FISA, even after the fact.
