Bushies are at war with the Constitution. Cheney's legal expert Addington in particular is a real villain in this respect. He basically feels that in a state of "permanent war" (as if going after terrorists is a conventional war) a president can do literally anything he wants and not be accountable to congress, the courts or anyone. That's 100% illegal and un-American. Also very likely the White House is totally abusing these new self-granted illegal powers to surveil domestic political critics and enemies, including perfectly innocent peace groups, news reporters, lawyers and judges, prosecutors, democratic leaders and rival business leaders. We simply cannot trust these Bushies with any such powers. They have proven themselves untrustworthy on every level. They even cheated to get into power in the first place. And in 2004 as well.
