"Story is that Secret service is covering up his drinking that evening." What secret service person(s) are covering up? Do you have a source? The only one I saw was Doug Thompson who knows somebody who knows somebody who ... (Not much of a story) I find the idea of Cheney being lubed quite plausible btw. One drink with lunch, OK. But what about the typical flask that a hunter might carry or a bottle in the car etc. Seems like we could get some reports from people who've hunted with Cheney from the past on what his typical conduct at these events is. Even if that is true it doesn't change the description of the event which has been described by reasonable expert hunters as an accident that could have happened to anyone in a sober condition. (Most of those who refute that, are die hard Bush haters so their credibility just isn't there) The fact is we have no evidence of drunkeness, only someone who claims to know someone who heard something from someone of unknown identity. (which is never going to get us out of the gate).
