At this late date, I am not proposing abandonment of Israel, but I sure as hell would like to see a solution that will end this feud that needs the ongoing largesse of the US. And that may just require that the Israelis give up more than they would like to.

Not likely.....even if we didn't give the the $3 billion to the Israelis. It would be socialism, and hence, unAmerican. ;-)
