Nagin spoke about Bush's call on TV - I recall watching him say it. But the Pres is not the one to order a mandatory evac - he just told Nagin he should and he did. Everyone knew anything about NOLA knew it was a disaster waiting to happen for years - I recall talking to coworkers with relatives there about it. The idea of a city below sea level, river level, lake level right next to a major river and a large lake and not too far from the Gulf is crazy. I hope it isn't rebuilt.
