I really appreciate your answer, it certainly clears things up. Come to think of it, I do believe I have heard on NPR a segment about Area 51 and an interview with some people who have been kidnapped. This was some time ago.

My mistake was that I just ASSUMED that intelligent, rational people would understand that the alien stories were more entertainment than fact, while folks who have not been trained in the sciences might mistake the "Yoga for the House" as a serious program and not parody.

Apparantly, NPR has been hoodwinking folks for quite some time with misleading pseudoscience as you say, when they were actually meaning to be funny. I did not know that until now. My mistake.

I have to admit that in the past, I was fooled as much as the next person, but now that I am older, I can listen to such programs and appreciate the comedy.

Now that I understand what is going on, the next time I am down in the dumps and need a good laugh, I am just going to put on NPR.
