Actually, our Conservative party is considerably to the left of most American Democrats. Most Americans don't realize both wings of the American Governing Party, Dems & Reps, are actually radical right wingers way off to the right of almost all of the political parties in the rest of the liberal democracies. Of course, right wing Americans also get very offended if you tell them they live in a liberal democracy. Then when you try to point out that those very right wing anti-government types are actually neo-liberals, they get very belligerent. LC
