"I'm amazed he allowed such a video tape to be kept around. Rove and Bush's other backers must have been *really* careless, or confident."

I think it's evidence that even people he trusts in his circle are turning. Look for diving into the bunkers and a new level of Nixonian paranoia..

At least the polls show that people really are starting to notice the drumbeat of relentlessly bad news. I do not know how anyone is going to get out of Iraq or even how they're going to deal with Iran and whatever happened to NK.

Now they're saying that AQ has a new and stronger organization coming out of Pakistan. OMG. What is going on?

It seems like the 'government' is in such disarray with one scandal or another or one debacle or another bubbling up every single week. We're going to be looking at slowing housing, slowing consumer spending and then another hurricane season before we know it.

Under the Republicans, the debt has ballooned, the deficit has ballooned and the trade deficit has ballooned. We're headed for a rock and I don't think that rock is made of soft, spongy stuff.
