I see.

Well thanks for giving me your opinion on the subject. I didn't realize it was personal for you- but now that I do, that explains your interest.

I don't like having opinions attributed to me that are not, in fact, my opinions. If you did that, I certainly would have called you on it. I notice you do not address the issue of whether or not you would let such an issue go, but that's ok- I think I have my answer. Even if you told me straight out that you would never go after someone who made something up about your positions, I probably wouldn't remember in future if you did call someone on a misstatement. In fact, I'll probably forget this whole conversation in a few days, just as I've completely forgotten any other one we might have had. I remember issues, not posters, and not what posters do during arguments (unless it rises to a level of truly vile personal invective- I do tend to remember that.) So whatever your MO might be, is of no interest to me.

"Let's just say that virtually any time I've read your posts, you seem to be accusing someone of misstating your position.

In fact, you've done it with me.

I figure it's an M.O.

And a tiring one, if not a tiresome one, at that.
"
