Very interesting, Slacker. I find it unusual that arbitration is ongoing at the same time that litigation is taking place. Nokia has moved to stay the lawsuit, i.e., put it on hold, pending the resolution of the arbitration, yet has moved to dismiss Q's claims in the lawsuit. As I'm sure you can appreciate, that is not exactly putting things on hold. Very odd. I detest arbitration. It is not only expensive, a consideration which is probably not too important in this case, but there is also generally no way to appeal a bad ruling unless you can show fraud and bias on the part of one of the arbitrators. It is possible for the parties to agree in advance not to be bound by the arbitration tribunal's ruling, but doing so eviscerates the purpose of an arbitration which is to bypass litigation in order to get a quick, binding and presumably less expensive final result.
