"When push comes to shove, the core ideals will win out over the voices of "moderation.""

So you are saying a core ideal of the Democrats is appeasement?

CJ, And you know this, how?

Waffling in the middle is only going to draw criticisms from all sides. When push comes to shove, the core ideals will win out over the voices of "moderation." And you can't deny that Democrats have to pay close attention to the Hollywood left.

The problem isn't the Hollywood left; the problem is that you and others of the GOP have gone to far right. You wanted to have it all your way and not have to compromise your position. That will never work.

Having said that, however, I'm still waiting for Bush to learn this lesson. Otherwise, 2006 may actually be the year the Democrats finally mount a comeback.

You still see Bush as a good man who has somehow gone astray. You don't that that image was a creation, not the reality. Maybe the hate Bush crowd is too strong in their character assassination of Bush, but they are closer to the truth than you are.
