When your kids leave home you will look back with even more fondness for the times spent together. As they get kids of their own no matter how hard you try you don't see each other as often as we would like. Just like a guy getting to retirement wishing he had worked more hours. Nobody does that.

Big ditch. Grand Canyon?

All most all the places I want to see are in the USA. I would like to see some real castles in the British Isles, and I would like to see Thurleigh, from where my father in law flew B-17s. Other than that, my interests are USA.

Blue Ridge Mountains, Adirondacks (again--I've tramped over most of 'em), New England, Maine, Llano Estacado in Texas, and so forth.

Colonial Williamsburg is great.

You're right...there are all sorts of things to see in every state! And do try to get to Colonial Williamsburg soon....It's just wonderful...go to Yorktown and Jamestown on the Colonial Parkway. You will feel a bit like they must have felt during those times. Try to plan a minimum of a week to ten days in the Williamsburg, and Washington DC area....That won't be enough time, but it will give them enough that when they grow up, they will want their kids to go there as well. Plus, who knows, maybe they will TAKE you with them....That would be so much fun!
