taken a position on the ports issue No, not really, but I'm leaning towards thinking it's not necesarily a bad thing. Still need to learn more before I come out on it. Politically, of course, it is a huge and hugely fun hot potato. I think the Clintons have given the GOP a terrific opportunity to play with them on the issue, and it will. Incredible, since it seemed earlier on that Bush had completely screwed it up politically if not necessarily as a matter of pure policy.
