The market-related rule is specified as applying to the thread. The post being market-related is implied by reference to the Terms of Use in the next line, since the Terms of Use require posts to be on-topic. The post isn't the issue. The thread is. Would've been much easier to have simply made the post on a thread that was definitely a market thread rather than "arguably one, though it's never really been used as one." Puts a serious kink in my PR plan, too, if we determine that this one was the winner, as this is an investment site and we want the PR to be along those lines. Anyway, Dave and I are chatting about it right now and will post a decision shortly.
