NWS is the most inaccurate bunch of cows this side of the Democrat party. He was "assured" of a category 5 hurricane, and he got a category 3.

Bush did what he's SUPPOSED to do: Waited until the retarded Democrat governor-or that bobtailed monkey "mayor", who runs off at the mouth while his mind is drowning in "chocolate"-CALLS for HELP. Short of that gets you lefties screaming that he "invaded" a state and stepped on everyones' rights.

As you'll recall, neither the mentally challenged governor nor the bobtailed chocolate monkey bothered to call.

Typical Democrat domestic enemy screw-up...

wherein he is briefed about everything including the possiblity of catastrophic flooding if the levees failed

Do you see the dishonesty here..no not by the President, by you or whomever is feeding you this tripe. there was also a possibility that the hurricane could have turned and done nothing

Max Mayfield is the weatherman doing the briefing. Here is a couple of his remarks:

MAX MAYFIELD: ... The rest of the track we have 10 to 15 feet, in a few areas up to 16 feet. At least glimpsed it out, and Louisiana can talk a little bit more about this than I can, but it looks like the Federal levies [sic] around the City of New Orleans will not have been (incomprehensible) any breaches to.

He also said that the levees could be TOPPED....do you know or understand the difference between "topped" and a 300 foot section completely blown out of the levee?

BIG difference, sweetie, BIG difference.

Here is a something from the President before the storm:

Yesterday, I signed a disaster declaration for the state of Louisiana, and this morning I signed a disaster declaration for the state of Mississippi. These declarations will allow federal agencies to coordinate all disaster relief efforts with state and local officials. We will do everything in our power to help the people in the communities affected by this storm.

Hurricane Katrina is now designated a category five hurricane. We cannot stress enough the danger this hurricane poses to Gulf Coast communities. I urge all citizens to put their own safety and the safety of their families first by moving to safe ground. Please listen carefully to instructions provided by state and local officials.

To say the President was not engaged is at best disingenuous, at worst just another Demonut attempt to discredit the President.

The President has already taken responsibility for the lag time in helping and for the failures in FEMA...let's hope he fixes that part of it, otherwise all you have is an orgy by the elite press and you KennedyKlanners.

Why can't you see the spin and interpretation in your own post? He is briefed about the possibility of catastrophic flooding if the levees fail! Then four days later he claims that he never would have guessed that (obviously, levees failing) would happen. How can you interpret that as a lie?
