Well, it won't be Ike Whitaker. Ike Whitaker Suspended March 2, 2006 BLACKSBURG, Va. - Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer announced Thursday that redshirt freshman quarterback Ike Whitaker has been suspended indefinitely from the football team due to a violation of team policy. In making the announcement, Beamer said there would be no further comment on the situation. Whitaker, a native of Germantown, Md., was redshirted during the Hokies' 2005 season. ******* The Lady Hokies started out doing really well, but have kind of fallen off the radar. Duke (#1) really pounded them a week or so ago.
