That's BS. The situation in Iraq has been clear from the outset to anyone that bothered to notice. The case for a preemptive war was weak. If I knew this from my removed vantage point, then there's no excuse for every Senator and Congress person to not have known.

This congress simply handed the reins to the Bush administration. Only congress can declare war...but they pass a resolution saying that Bush can invade Iraq. What is that?

Here Mr. Bush...you do what you need to do over in Iraq. Now the guy has us bogged down in an unwinnable war with no plan. Nada!. Sure if you need to torture some folks...we'll just sweep the Geneva conventions under the carpet...they're old and dusty anyway...and sure spy on the American people too.

Congress had relinquished their duty. Kerry is one of them.
