Israel has had nukes for some time. Our resident expert syl says about 200. They are purely deterrent in nature at least for now. Iran upsets that equation. Like with india, iran gets the short end of the stick her but also like india, israel is a democracy and not a threat to us or its neighbors. And Iran truly is a teorrist state and the one upsetting the balance of power in the mideast that has lasted at least since the 1967 war. As Iran nuke threat grows, the entire persian gulf/mideast region becomes more and more destabiized.
