It's a process, not like he was picked. There's primary elections...Kerry made it to the top because he finished well.

People voted for him because they liked his position du jour. But as we've seen Kerry changes with the wind. I think he has a distinguished military career. But he shouldn't have brought it in to the campaign. That was as stupid as Dukakis's riding around in a tank!

All he had to do was speak to the issues. Speak clearly and directly to articulate his position...but he never did that.
