I guess that's why they booed so loudly when he girly threw the first pitch at a home Red Sox game :^)

Hell, people in Mass. still seem to like Ted Kennedy.... But then again, I think they feel sorry for him and the Kennedy family.

The GOP won't even dare run anyone against Kerry. He ran unopposed last senatorial election.

When Bushies realised Kerry would be the 2004 nominee, they confered and realized they could not beat him on a single issue. To beat him, they had to concentrate on wedge issues, then go back 30+ years to when he was a war hero/peace activist and try to brand him as a "traitor".

Even though Kerry was a bona fide hero in combat, they decided "who cares, let's just lie" and lie they did. Over and over and over again. Put 200 million dollars behind a huge pack of lies repeated millions of times, then add some strategic election fraud and pohony terrorist alerts, and you might just get your candidate back into office. They did.

But this will never work again.
