Al, The issue in the Balkans was FAR more complex than the simplistic explanation you just provided. Yes, but that wasn't the point. It was easy for Clinton to be a moderate, given that he was hardly ever presented with a real dilemma, except those resulting from his own indiscretions. His "non-appeasing" military actions were pretty easy choices to make given the circumstances of each. But when the s--t hit the fan in two of those cases, "appeasement" became a very appealing alternative. Tenchusatsu
