ManyMoose, I guess the trains on the West Coast operate differently. We still had linen table cloths and china and silver in the dining care. No smoking is permitted anywhere within the trains in California. There is not even a smoking car. (Something got lost there. <g>) The train cars were very clean and well maintained and the seating roomy and comfortable. It is amazing the types and amounts of things passengers are allowed to bring on board. I'll have to take another train trip soon and report back.

Re my big win: I did two or three more pulls and then walked. I have had other and bigger wins before and since. The trick is to play conservatively. This last line should rouse Preacher Laz to pontificate about he evils of gambling. <g>
