My take is different. The Democrats are anything but an honest opposition --again with some exceptions. The DLC types who dominate the party nowadays agree with the Bushies far more than they disagree as evidenced by their repeatedly voting to fund the Iraq war, threaten Iran and Syria, and supporting the infamous "Patriot Act." The billionaire husband of Diane Feinstein is as much a war profiteer as Halliburton. The Democrats might well win the upcoming Congressional and Presidential elections as many in the elite desert the Bushies who have lost all credibility. Things probably will get a little better if they win, but I doubt if anything fundamental will change.
