What cracks me up are the conservative apologists who label these failures as Bush's "Second Term Slump" like they're understandable hiccups with historical precedence. What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is an incompetent, uncaring, narrow-agenda administration run amok under the weakest (and least intellectual) man who ever occupied the presidency. History will laugh at him, and shame anyone who voted for or supported him at any point in his political career.
