I doubt if I need as much enlightenment as you do when it comes to the city of NO and the events of katrina

it is despicable to use katrina as an opportunity to attack and lay the responsibility at the feet of a president you don't like, while doing it on the backs of people who suffered death and destruction, who continue to suffer

the levee system and emergency plan were inadequate - they had decades of warnings, had decades to implement adequate levees and workable evacuation plans - decades - in spite of repeated warnings and decades of lobbying by local politicians and activists, no large-scale corrective measures or evacuation plans had been implemented when Hurricane Katrina made landfall

now you can pussyfoot around with the timeline all you want to, but the fact is the ball was dropped decades ago

and because of that lack of action, of planning, no one could save the city or her people from this catastrophic disaster or it's aftermath

while you can afford to use one of the deadliest natural disasters in U.S. history to play the blame game, the people who died, lived and suffered through it, and lost because of it can't

do you get it?
