I always take what any pols say with a pinch of salt. Honesty is not their strong suit, regardless of political persuasion.

I have independently checked Morris's statements; they are correct. As a family, the Clintons are making very big dollars from Bill's activities in the Emirates, which explains Hillary's opposition to the port deal--she can't be seen as being influenced by Arab oil money despite the fact that the family is receiving quite a bit of it.

The Arabs probably think they have bought a direct line of influence to a potential President. Par for the course for pols, and certainly in character for the Clintons. Given Hillary's status as a lightning rod and a potential Presidential candidate, I would have thought that the couple would have been more careful, but greed is a powerful and grand thing. Next to sex, it provides more political entertainment than any other thing we do. The Clintons are world class in both.

Ever since Dick Morris was let go by Clinton after he was caught with prostitutes, I have always taken his claims against Clintons with a pinch of salt.

Wise words. I think it's best to let this one take time to shake out a bit. Certain right wing elements will try to frame this in the most embarrassing way possible for the Clintons. For all the obvious reasons. And the Clintons will resist.

For the rest of us, at least for me, I'm going to wait and see. My guess is that it turns out to be a great deal of huffing and puffing about very little.
