Well, from Intel's midQ4 update, "1 point" of market share loss actually worked out to 3-4 points.

Is "slight" more or less than "1 point"? :)

A slight market share loss (<2%) doesn't mean much to Intel, but on a revenue growth basis, is huge for AMD.

Regarding Monday's analyst meeting, I would think Hector would say that in order to wage a price war, you need at least competitive products and clearly AMD's products are superior for another qtr or 2 (or 3 or...).

I'm amazed that the market has so quickly reverted to the "Intel will crush AMD in a nanosecond" thinking. Most don't get the competitive change that has taken place.

Fine. We'll make money without them...
