Halliburton is guilty of over-charging US taxpayers a minimum of 250 million dollars. That's probably just the tip of the iceberg. But instead of firing Halliburton or even fining them the Bush DOD has rewarded them with more fat no-bid contracts. This is outrageous corruption.

The Colonel I spoke to said that in Iraq, Halliburton runs everything and is considered above the law. This is outrageous too, not only the gouging they are doing in privatizing our military, but putting Halliburton above the law. And, don't forget Halliburton is trusted with managing the Iraqi oilfields, and no one in their right mind can trust Halliburton. So how much are they stealing from Iraqis there?

Cheney is guilty of at least three crimes in all this; first his accounting fraud while CEO, and the illegal subsidiary in Dubai he was using to do business with Iran, but also his lies that he divested all HAL stock, when he actually secretly kept many millions worth of stock options, plus an annual six figure salary.

Exactly. He used to even have a few shares of HAL. He liked HAL then...HAting a company and then constantly posting that Cheney will return as the CEO just shows how ignorant AS is about business.

You just hate HAL cause Cheney used to be its Pres. There is no other basis for your slander.

Report: U.S. troops to leave Iraq in 2007

(If this turns out to be true, would you concede that Murtha was absolutely right? Of course not! Dumbya cultists can always think of some reason to continue living in their fantasy world).

LONDON, March 4 (UPI) -- Citing military sources, a London newspaper reports all U.S. and British troops will be out of Iraq by early 2007.

While the number of coalition soldiers in the country will be reduced slightly over time, most of the pullout will take place at once in early 2007, the Daily Telegraph said.

Leaders in both Washington and London have decided the presence of coalition forces in Iraq is fueling the insurgency, the newspaper said, but the push for withdrawal has come mainly from Britain.

"Our presence is now part of the problem," the source said. "That is a situation which is now accepted by both governments. We are viewed as an occupation force even though, at the moment, we are in Iraq at the invitation of the government."

The United States has 138,000 troops stationed in Iraq. Most of the other 15,000 coalition troops are British.

Internal and external defense in Iraq would be taken over by the Iraqi Defense Force, which currently has about 232,000 police officers and soldiers.

The source told The Telegraph British forces are likely to remain in Afghanistan for a decade.
