You're right, and normally we do. One time years ago, we went to Maine, and he tromped on the gas and headed up the freeway to Bangor....I thought he'd gone silly, but he said he wanted to get upstate quickly, so we could take our time to see as much as possible of the hundreds of miles of inlets and side roads...

It is so pretty in nearly area of the country where we've been. But there is lots more to see...

"Another great way to see the country by car is to stay off the interstates. Next time you head east by car, try taking US 12 or US 2 instead of I-90. You'll get a much different view of the country."
