There are much worse events in this world and there will be much worse events in the future. Most people in America aren't going to see it that way. Is it wrong for Americans to be more pissed off about 9/11 than about what happens in the Congo or Burma? Yes. Too many of us have become sniveling, little pissants. We have an expensive war going on and to avoid disturbing Americans and forcing any kind of sacrifice, the national debt limit is being raised above $8.18 TRILLION. These are not toy numbers......they represent real debt. We are in debt up to our necks. If the US were a private citizen or a company, it would have to file BK. Plus, we need to care what's going on in the rest of the world, because conditions are very bad, and that could hurt us in the future. You would think Americans would understand this issue......after all, whenever you have a disparity between the haves and have nots, the have nots usually end up taking the law into their own hands. Hence, our crime rate tends to run higher than other first world nations. Now the disparity between us and the rest of the world is significantly greater. How long do you think the rest of the world will put up with that disparity while watching as we go around invading whomever we damn please...........especially, now that they know American military forces are limited? What would happen if half the world dedided to start a war with us? You don't think that's possible, then think again. After all, no one thought 9/11 was possible except for some writer in Hollywood. That's like saying Katrina was a two-bit hurricane until the ineptitude of FEMA elevated it to the worst natural disaster in history. It doesn't change the fact that Katrina came and went and left behind a wide trail of devastation. 3/11 pales in comparison to Katrina. 9/11 was a five hundred lb. bomb.........they dropped those on Iraq daily for over a month.Perspectives mean everything. Yes, and I believe many Americans have lost theirs'.
