Not short term rates....completely disagree. The Fed can move the discount rate and the Fed Funds rate up or down and we bankers sit in our asset/liability meetings and match their moves...

Long rates, yes, they are a function of market expectation. But with an inverted yield curve until just recently one needs to be cautious. The long end should have gone up faster and sooner..unless? Maybe Mr. Market does not things are as great as most stats. would indicate.
