"<Good example of "free market capitalist competition".

"oil companies"

Bad example. >

No, good example."

Here in Denmark the oil companies sell gas and diesel for the same price per liter down to the last øre(100th of a crown). The minor companies sell for 6 øre less per liter. On the week ends more often than not the price falls between 50 and 100 øre for all the companies. Rises again on Monday. Some areas experience a "price war"(100-120 øre less than the rest of the company). These areas are small and with a sparse population.

Free market capitalist competition? I don't think so.

As far as BP goes my experience with them is that they are an arrogant know it all company that refuses to admit a mistake even when presented with evidence that actions taken by them are wrong. After long correspondence with BP they changed their test method back to the original. No apology for the mistake nor thanks for having this damaging mistake pointed out to them was ever made.
