Forcing Israel to open up it's nuke program would buy us ENORMOUS cred in the Arab, oil owning world.

I see... sell out to the Militant Arabs who have been in a continuous state of war AGAINST Israel since 1947, eh??

I guess the next thing you'll recommend is that we proclaim Islam to be the state religion of the US? Maybe start offering Road signs in Arabic and Persian as well??

Listen... I'm all for building relations with the Muslim world, but it CAN NOT be on done by bowing to intolerant and militant requirements placed upon us.

If Israel started threatening Iran or any other nation with nuclear annihilation and acting aggressively towards its neighboring states, THEN I would be ABSOLUTELY in favor of pressuring them to reveal everything about their nuclear programs. But so long as they are quiet about it, and maintain their official policy of NOT being the first nation to introduce nuclear weapons into the region (meaning only defensive purposes only), I really don't care.

Hell, I wouldn't care if Iran or Iraq has nukes so long as I could credibly believe they would never use them except in defense. But it would be very hard to accept such a ridiculous premise given their aggressive public rhetoric.

And that goes for N. Korea as well.

Being Israel's butt-boy buys us nothing but greif

I guess being someone else's "butt-boy" brings you pleasure?
