Hamas rejects call to recognise Israel

gulfnews.com

"It means a negation of the Palestinian people and their rights and their property, of occupied Jerusalem and the holy sites, as well as negation of their right of return. Therefore the recognition of Israel is not on the agenda," Abu Marzouk said.

Abu Marzouk, who is part of the Hamas delegation in Moscow, blasted previous Palestinian accords with Israel and said they did not define the Jewish state's borders.

"I gave the Russian officials a white sheet and I asked them to draw me a map of the Israel they want me to recognise and nobody was able to draw the map," he said.

Interesting point. How can Hamas recognize Israel when no one knows where its borders end?

AK, RE: "you're unlikely to convince Amy that Israel is not the problem"

You are so focused on Israel, that Israel is all you seem to think others see.

Where in my post does it say Israel?

What does Israel have to do with the USA?

You seem to get the two countries confused.

Let me repeat what I said: the solution is the removal of the USA military out of SA and other religious areas in the ME. If you read US Library Congress synopsis of bin Laden's comments throughout the 90s, he specifically said his issue is the USA's military presence by MECCA, Saudia Arabia, and the one other ME country USA has military in (Kuwait, I believe.)
