C2 maybe you could be more specific and detailed..

Ouch. I don't want to be party to revisiting all that. I almost didn't reply to C2 for fear of provoking a rehashing. I understand where you're coming from but I hope C2 doesn't bite.

I never said corruption charges were proven; a whiff does not mean truth. But in politics, it is perceptions, not actual facts, which matter.

I don't believe any of the wilder stories about the Clintons. There are two about Hillary, however, which are troubling and which will be brought up again when she runs. The first is her "success" as a novice commodities trader. No unassisted novice ever, ever turns $1,000 into $100,000 in a very short time frame in the riskiest market there is. The second is the magical appearance of the Rose Firm's billing records at the White House. The whiff or corruption is exceptionally strong around these two issues. Her explanations are not convincing. The troubling thing is that chronologically they set a pattern. If the suspicious activity had stopped in Arkansas, I think voters might not get as excited. However, she shows a pattern, and patterns are reflective of character.

I suppose her improper use of FBI files had Nixon's misfeasance as a precedent. vbg

Anyway, I don't want to get into specifics, as tempting as it may be. Suffice it to say that IMO she will have to deal with the perception that she is bent, a perception which IMO is well justified.
