All Kerry had to do was explain who these people were and the connection to the Bush campaign. Then he should have gathered his boatmates for a press conference and made a commercial out of what was said at the press conference. Then play that commercial on every station where the smearvets had their crap. Rasmussen made a commercial for him, and he was a republican. That said Kerry is now two years late in responding to the charges. He didn't need to go off message. Simply respond forcefully and truthfully and do that with the boatmates. Then let those commercials run and run. He didn't do that. That's why he lost. Orca
