Re: heh, I used to think the same but he did admit to owning an AMD CPU and he has recently made several neutral and positive statements about AMD.

Every system I've built over the past several years for myself and anyone else have AMD CPUs. They have the best price/performance ratio regardless of how AMD is doing financially as a company. At home I have:

1) gaming/general use
Venice 3000+ (939)/Biostar TForce6100-939

2) video editing
Sempron 3400+ (939)/Asrock 939Dual-SATA2

3) kids' computer
Sempron 2600+ (754)/Foxconn 755A01-6EKRS

4) wife's computer
Athlon XP 2000+/Aopen AK79D-400VN

5) downstairs general use
Sempron 2800+ (754)/Epox 8KDA3J

6) testing system
Barton 2500+/Epox 8KRA2I

7) Windows 98SE system
Mobile Barton 2400+/Asus A7V333
