Hey Watson, quit lying to the thread. The Vietnam War was not escalated by JFK, it was escalated after he was murdered by the rightwing, and LBJ was a semi-Cheney type, the kind of Texan who had a good side and a bad side. His bad side was in league with the Halliburtons of his way. LBJ first escalated the Vietnam War by lying to the American People, like Bush-cheney did. About the Gulf Of Tonkin "attack" that never really happened. WHo won that war? Only Halliburton (Brown + Root), just like in Iraq. Everyone loses but Halliburton. LBJ did the honorable thing and resigned after one term. Then the rightwing killed Bobby Kennedy and got Nixon in. Nixon escalated the Vietnam even more and kept it running for another five years after we all knew it was a lost cause. Nixon is responsible for about 30,000 Americans killed for no good reason. He also dropped more bombs than in the entire WWII on a little country that never attacked us. I'm 50 years old. I know my Vietnam history very well. A lot better than you do, apparently. Vietnam was the biggest ugliest mistake the US has ever made, and it was 100% the brainchild of the military-industrial rightwing.
