totally agree.

This is like a backhanded warning against RE. (don't worry it always goes up over time - just wait)

So is it risky to buy something now?
I'm conservative about home buying. It's an illiquid asset, and you may have to wait out the housing cycle [to sell]—and they run for five to nine years. I've had to do that once. I've waited out, and I made good money in the end, but I had to wait.


There were millions of buyers of certain types of real estate in the 70s (I'm thinking condo conversions) who NEVER recouped their money or if they did it took 20 years.
