I think the unstated assumption behind that is that women probably won't have extra marital sex and that there is a good chance that guys will. Of course the first part of that assumption doesn't make a lot of sense. Well maybe it makes just a little sense if your in a culture where women get stoned to death for adultery and are supposed to only go out in public covered up and in the company of a male relative...
