A Couple of things. 1. I think the US will lead the charge and this will happen on or about October 1. 2. I think the mistake the regime needs to make is to clamp down on the coffee bars and discos with force if necessary. Students have been seduced by nuclear nationalism and that will be their undoing unless the mullahs or the new president make a fatal mistake. Chinese recovered from their error at Tienammen because they offered eco prosperity as well as nationalism. No such offer in iran. 3. What iran needs is Pope JP in islamic terms and a Lech Walesa in union terms.
