Correct me if wrong, but isn't it fundamental to "progressivism" that good results can be achieved by moral intuition, then fiat? That idea has been trumped - again - by the inheritors and developers of classical liberalism.

Foucault, for example, pumped out a lot of highfalutin garbage. Toward the end of his life I understand he counselled followers to consult the likes of von Mises and Hayek. That advice came too late. His earlier works still carry influence on campuses, while his late good advice is generally unknown and ignored.
