As I said, and I do appreciate your input very much, THIS if true was the beginning of todays problems with Intel.

If Barrett started to believe his own press releases and figured that reality would not catch up with Intel he was dead wrong.

And to those people, including some of the posters here that bought into that definition of "server by advertising fiat", well, that is wrong.

Problem might be that Barrett has always been a production guy, and production guys have a prejudice to believe that all that is important is efficient production and that the Sales department's job is to sell what ever is produced.

Anyway this is sort of historical, because Intel started the correction process what looks like about 3 years ago.

Maybe Craig was spending too much time at the ranch, and Pottruck was spending too much time as head of the compensation committee.
