I read recently that several people died in the late 1800s in Philadelphia in a riot over which Bible would be used in the public schools.

JF, Yeah, so?

The point is that all of this is connected. Terrorism, culture, religion, politics, it's all a tangled mess but it's also all connected to each other. Trying to isolate the terrorists as a "scattered rag tag bunch of thugs" isn't going to work, because the culture that gave rise to these guys will just produce more.
