Cingular UMTS handsets ...

Slacker,

As one might expect those are only available in select markets not nationwide -- i.e. some or all of the launched UMTS markets. If one's own zip doesn't work, individuals can use 60617 at the link you provided or this one to view ...

tinyurl.com

While there may be more now, initial markets covered were Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Baltimore, Boston, Washington, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland, SLC, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, and Tacoma.

Best,

New Module Offers Reduced Size/Height, Improved Talk-Time, Lowest-Cost Product for Emerging CDMA Markets

SHANGHAI, China & HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2006--TriQuint Semiconductor (Nasdaq: TQNT - News) today announced the release of its newest cellular band CDMA (code division multiple access) transmit module, the TQM613025, offering manufacturers a sought-after '2-chip cellular radio' solution when paired with Qualcomm QSC6010/20/30 single-chip devices. The module is designed for handset makers planning to build low-cost CDMA phones for emerging markets.

TriQuint's TQM613025 utilizes BEST (bypass efficient switch topology) amplifier technology, which provides the industry's lowest average current consumption (better efficiency) as measured on the CDG (CDMA development group) curve. Greater efficiency translates into longer battery life for next-generation wireless phones. Industry observers believe efficiency, paired with low cost, are key factors for widespread CDMA acceptance in emerging Asian markets.

TriQuint's new TQM613025 is offered in the world's smallest form factor, 7x4x1.2mm3, making it ideal for thin, compact handset form factors that manufacturers and consumers favor. The module is intended for the cellular band in CDMA wireless handsets and data cards using the Qualcomm single chip family of devices. The TQM613025 includes a duplexer, transmit filter, power amplifier, coupler and all matching components for a complete cellular band antenna-to-transceiver transmit solution.

Despite its small size, TriQuint's new module offers outstanding electrical performance with a quiescent current of less than 20mA and power added efficiency (PAE) of greater than 20% at 13.5dBm out of the antenna. This performance is dramatically better than what is available through discrete products on the market today, producing considerably longer handset talk-time.

"The TQM613025 provides customers with the most compelling CDMA cellular transmit solution available today: smallest size, thinnest height, longest talk-time, reduced BOM count and drop-in RF functionality for improved time-to-market. All these benefits enable customers to develop state-of-the-art handsets more quickly," said Kevin Schoenrock, TriQuint Semiconductor Product Marketing Manager. "This module is another successful example of our strategy to provide customers a total RF front end solution by partnering with leading chipset manufactures to modularize the antenna-to-transceiver signal path and offer our joint customers the most optimized and complete radio solution available."

TriQuint's latest addition to its CDMA transmit module family complements a full line of products for current and next-generation wireless handsets. TriQuint offers PAs and PA modules, transmit and receive modules, triplexers, switches, filters and duplexers for the entire range of CDMA technologies and bands. The product's high reliability is assured through utilizing TriQuint's third generation InGaP (indium gallium phosphide) GaAs HBT (gallium arsenide heterojunction bipolar transistor) process technologies and proven module design techniques.

The release of TriQuint's new CDMA transmit module coincides with the International IC China shows in Shanghai, (6th-7th March) and Shenzhen, (10th-11th March). These popular international trade events bring together hundreds of mobile device equipment manufacturers and suppliers from across China and the world. The International IC China show series is in its 11th year.

Prototype samples of the TQM613025 CDMA cellular transmit module are available. For pricing information, demonstration boards, samples, plus the direct assistance of its worldwide application support team, please contact your local sales representative, or visit the website: www.triquint.com. Cingular Wireless LLC Set to Launch a New Video Service for Two New Phones

NEW YORK (AP) -- Cingular Wireless LLC, the country's largest cell-phone carrier, is set to launch a new video service for two new phones Tuesday.
Subscribers will pay $20 a month for access to clips from the Cartoon Network, Fox News, NBC and others. The service will use Cingular's high-speed data network, which is available in 16 cities.

For an extra $5 a month, 3-5 minute clips of HBO shows like the Sopranos will be available as well.

Two phones, from Samsung and from LG, will go on sale Tuesday for the service. Each will cost $99 with a two-year contract.

The service is similar to Verizon Wireless' $15-a-month Vcast service, which launched in February last year in some markets.

Cingular and some other carriers already provide live TV on some handsets, using different technology called MobiTV. Cingular charges $20 a month for that service.

Cingular is a joint venture of BellSouth Corp. and AT&T Inc. On Sunday, AT&T announced a deal to buy BellSouth for $67 million, which would give AT&T complete control of Cingular.

Cingular's high-speed network is available in Austin, Texas; Baltimore; Boston; Chicago; Dallas; Houston; Las Vegas; Phoenix; Portland, Ore.; Salt Lake City; San Diego; San Francisco; San Jose, Calif.; Seattle; Tacoma, Wash.; and Washington, D.C.
