"The inventory is going to build, and build and build, and the few buyers are going to know they have the sellers by the balls." What eventually happens is it gets to the point that the common knowledge is that residential RE is a bad investment that will lose you money because of the continued depreciation. Then, only people who are newbies and clueless and the people that have to buy for some reason will be buying. Big inventories will be the rule and the bottom will have arrived. A few years in the future in many places.
