This is to no one really.

Kirby Puckett came to the bigs when I lived in ST. Paul and I was one big baseball fan until they went inside the dome.

Kirby had a grin that went from ear to ear.

He ran hard to 1st base when he drew a walk.

He knew where he came from and felt grateful for his opportunity.

He wouldn't have left the Twins if another club had offered him 10 times the pay. He wanted to play with his friends and for the fans.

I was fortunate to see the beginning of his career blossom quickly and with style.
